The Range is over 1.1 million years old, making it one of the oldest ranges in the world. It’s 12 kilometres long, 670 metres high and formed from solid granite. A 1.5km walk trail leads you through spectacular forests on your way to the Granite Skywalk. Enjoy the breathtaking, panoramic views from the 38 metre, upper and lower lookouts atop Castle Rock.

Greens Pool and neighbouring Elephant Rocks, in wildflower-riddled William Bay National Park, are unquestionable show stoppers. Many of the trees surrounding Denmark stretch 60 metres into the sky and some are around 400 years old. Towering trees also lead you to family-owned wineries and their small, personal cellar doors. The best place to connect with them is at the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, a 40-minute drive from town.

Rising 15 metres from the ground and more than 100 metres long, the rock looks like a giant surf wave of multicoloured granite about to crash onto the bush below. From walk trails to Indigenous tours and exploring the various landforms from the rock to Hippo's Yawn, The Humps as well as the iconic Lake Magic and The Salt Pond - make sure you stop in at the Wildlife Park and if it is Spring, embark on a beautiful journey to view the magnificent Wildflowers in Hyden.
